Brigham Wayne's Blessing Day

We blessed Brigham on December 30, 2012. It was a great day. Nate did an awesome job with the blessing. The spirit was so strong and we are extremely blessed to have this little guy in our life. He did so good during the blessing, Nate said that he was just looking around at everyone in the circle. After the blessing we had over 50 people in our tiny house for soup and salads. It worked out great with everyones help. Here are some pictures from the day.

I loved his blessing outfit. I found it at Quilted Bear. He was almost too big for it though.

By the end of the day he was exhausted, I got these two pictures at the end of the day. I may have to put his outfit back on and take a few more when he's more awake.

Christmas and end of the year fun.

We had such a great Christmas! We normally have a big ugly sweater party at our house with all of our friends but this year we didn't end up doing one, hopefully next year we can continue that tradition. But we did do a small dinner with a few friends at our house. It was a lot of fun, unfortunately I didn't get a lot of pictures.

One of my best friends Allie was in town with her new baby Madden. It was so great to hang out with her and meet little Madden. They are only a month apart!

At the end of November we went and visited my great- grandma Soffe. And I am so glad that we did. A few weeks later she was taken to the hospital because she couldn't breathe, then she was on oxygen in a rehab center. And she passed away on January 8th. I am so grateful that I followed the promptings of the spirit and went and saw her. This will be a picture that I cherish.

 On Christmas Adam, we went to my Grandma Rose's (Soffe) house. We had dinner, a nativity, and santa came! It was so great to spend time with my cousins and other extended family.

Brothers, excited about their gift from santa

 These are the long john jammies Brig got from grandma and grandpa Soffe.

love the butt flap

On Christmas Eve, we went to Nates parents house for soup and fun with the Messerly's.

On Christmas day we hung out at our house and opened presents. Nate got snowboarding stuff, a pass, a suit, and some ties. I got a kitchen-aid mixer (yay!), a gift card for clothes, a rolling pin (I have been using a cup since we got married), and a few other things. Then we went to my parents for breakfast, Waffles and whip cream! So yum! It was such a fun day!

Nate thinks its hilarious that when he pushes Brigs cheeks in he lifts his eyebrows and looks like this....

Tummy time
Me and Brig
For new years we just hung out at home. Brig had his first cold :( so we didn't want to take him anywhere. Sometimes I feel New Years is over-rated anyway and I was partied out from the christmas festivities :). 2012 has been great! We can't wait to see what this new year brings.

Two Months Old!

Stats:
Weight: 13.5 Pounds {79%}
Height: 24.25 Inches {95%}
Head: 40.3 Centimeters {87%}

We have ourselves a big boy on our hands. He loves to eat and I have an over abundance of milk so its no surprise.

Brig Facts:
  • He smiles ALL the time now. He's such a happy little dude.
  • He is starting to hold up his neck really well but doesn't have a lot of control.
  • He found his hand and he sucks on it all the time. He will be in in crib and I can hear him sucking on it.
  • He is in size 2 diapers (we just switched him from ones about a week ago.)
  • He wears 3 month clothes (Not for long though, I don't think)
  • He is finally starting to suck his binky more. We have been working on it since he was born and we just got a new kind (3rd time switching binkies) and finally I think he likes the new ones.
  • I pumped and gave him his first bottle a few days ago. He hated it. He screamed and would not take it. I think he thought we were giving him a binkie. So I just fed him then at his next feeding Nate gave him his bottle a little bit early, before he got super hungry and he took it! I hated it though, I just like to be the one to feed him :)

One month old!

Stats:
I will have to get them from the doctor I don't remember them! Awful right? :)
Brig turned a month on November 16th. I should have posted about this then but have not made time for blogging lately. Here are a few pictures from October and November.

For Halloween he was a little Punkin Man!
We didn't go anywhere since he was only 2 weeks old but a friend gave me this cute outfit and I just had to dress him up. :)
So very little on his changing table

His very first smile was when he was 6 weeks old exactly. Best day ever.

He loves the bath. I'm serious people he is the sweetest thing. I absolutely love being a momma.
